Chiefswood Park welcomes everyone to join us in creating a healthier planet for future generations! Visit the park for our plant a tree – take a tree event on April 23rd, 2023! Guests will plant a tree in Chiefswood Park and receive one to take home, giving Mother Earth even more love.
You will learn the importance of Maple and Oak trees and walk through the park with Kayanase, as they discuss ephemeral plant I.D!

This event will run rain or shine. Please dress according to the weather and remember long pants and long sleeved shirts are advised.

– Gloves
– Closed-toe, sturdy footwear (boots are highly recommended)
– Reusable water bottle
– Shovel (limited shovels will be available)
This event will be followed with an Amphibian night walk
Join Kayanase’s Eco-Team, exploring the Carolinian Zone of Six Nations and Chiefswood Park and learn more about the eco-zone we live in, its native biodiversity, and the practice of ecological restoration.
For the first time ever, we will explore the Amphibian habitat during a NIGHT WALK!
