SUMMARY:Large Pack Basket Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Baskets are crafted with sturdy\, tightly woven black ash splints that are used by hunters and trappers to bring their harvests home. Women used them to carry the plants and food they harvest. Today\, with the re-emergence of natural products gaining traction\, more and more people are using these traditional baskets in their everyday lives for shopping\, gathering\, or simply transporting items from one place to another. \nCome enjoy the day with us and learn something new! \nPlease note that we will have the cabins available for rent for people who are interested. To book a cabin and basket making package please hit the book button. DESCRIPTION:Gohsrehneh (Winter) Explorers will learn outdoor skills as well as cultural skills while discovering fun\, friendship\, and the power of one together through exciting enriching experiences. \nChildren will participate and learn how to Build a fire\, wilderness first aid\, orienteering\, wildlife identification\, hiking\, cultural workshops\, crafts\, and more! \nWhen: Starting January 14th\, to March 4th 2023 \nTime: 12-3pm \nAge: 7 to 12 years old \nCost: $20 per session or $145 for all 8 weeks. \nSign up for one session or all 8. \nIf you have more than one child please let us know in registration. \nEveryone is welcomed!
