Welcome to Chiefswood Park
Chiefswood Park provides a unique getaway experience that teaches visitors about authentic Haudenosaunee culture while pampering guests with simple luxuries. Visitors have the freedom to create their own experience, whether it is guided cultural tours on land or water, a walkthrough of Chiefswood National Historic Site, engaging in environmental and archaeological discoveries, or learning about ancient artifacts.
As our territory has historically been recognized as a meeting point, Chiefswood Park will serve as a place for sharing between cultures. Guests will have time to contemplate the teachings in beautiful surroundings, amongst stunning Carolinian forest and prairie grassland on the banks of the iconic Grand River.

“Loved our experience with kayaking there today! Amazing and helpful staff. Most of all very friendly and welcoming! The kayaks were in great shape and clean! We very much enjoyed our trip on the river and can’t wait to come back again real soon!”
