How to Use a Boat Launch:
  1. Prepare Before You Launch
Pull into the staging area (away from the ramp) to load your gear, check your equipment, and remove tie-downs.
  2. Check the Ramp Area
Make sure the ramp is clear and the water level is safe for launching. Wait your turn if others are ahead.
  3. Back Down the Ramp Slowly
Align your vehicle and trailer, then carefully back down the ramp until the boat begins to float.
  4. Launch the Boat
Once the boat is floating, unhook the winch line or bow strap, and guide the boat gently into the river.
  5. Park Your Vehicle
Move your vehicle and trailer to the designated parking area (grassy field, over near the trees) as quickly as possible to keep the ramp clear.
  6. Enjoy Your Time on the Water!
Paddle, fish, or cruise the Grand River while respecting local wildlife and boating rules.
  7. Loading Up After Your Trip
Use the same boat launch ramp to retrieve your boat. Wait your turn, load efficiently, and secure your gear before driving away.
